Usually dental surgery includes a great variety of important procedures related to the oral cavity. They are applied to restore the function, integrity and morphology of missing tooth structure. Over the past decade cataracts have become “younger” – the average age in which the disease is diagnosed is 45 years. Diagnosis of cataracts

When a cataract just begins, only a small part of lens is clouded. You may not notice changes in your vision. Typically, cataract “grows” slowly and gradually deteriorates vision. Over time a cataract becomes larger and increases in size. It becomes more opaque, a loss of visual acuity is noted. The image is fuzzy and grayish.

The most common symptoms of cataracts include:
• Blurred or fuzzy image
• Colors vision is less vivid
• Lamps, lighting and sunlight may seem too bright. A ‘halo’ is observed around the source of light
• A doubled image in an eye
• Frequent changes of glasses prescription

Integrated diagnostic examination of the eye is the first and most important step for further treatment of cataract.
