Orthodontic microsurgery is a new technique developed by Prof. Tomaso Vercellotti and Dr. Andrea Podestà (Italy) – to reduce the duration of orthodontic treatment to 3 months and prevent bone resorbtion.

Prof. Tomaso Vercellotti Inventor of Piezoelectric Bone Surgery, Ultrasonic Implant Site Preparation Technique and Orthodontic Microsurgery Technique with dr. Podestà. Author of a new bone quality classification for surgical purposes. Author of the first book on Piezoelectric Bone Surgery, also he authored the first scientific clinical articles on the new surgical techniques and author of five chapters in International books. Founder and President of Piezosurgery Academy. The 2005 recipient of the Andi Award from the Italian Dental Association for scientific and cultural merit.

Dr. Andrea Podestà M.D. and D.D.S. at University of Genoa. Lecturer in Italy for many scientific societies, he lectured for 3M Unitek in Spain, East Europe and Usa. In Usa and Canada he presented for American Association of Orthodontists and for the World Federation of Orthodontists. He is one of the founders of Piezosurgery Academy. He lectures and teaches courses in “Orthodontic Microsurgery Technique”, which Dr. Podesta and Dr. Vercellotti invented together.

Participants will learn the theoretical foundation and practical skills under the supervision of the world-class professionals, learn to understand the interaction between orthodontist and surgeon and become the first in their country to implement the method of piezosurgery in daily practice!
